St. James Healthcare is located in Butte, Montana, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. St. James Healthcare is a 100 bed acute-care facility with a newly formed Hospitalist program. With over 600 employees, St. James Healthcare is one of the largest employers in Butte-Silver Bow. In January 2007, the Regional Medical Arts Pavilion (RMAP) opened. This medical office building is connected to the hospital and houses private physician practices, imaging services, an outpatient surgical center, an urgent care facility, laboratory services, and a retail pharmacy. St. James is extremely flexible relative to recruitment incentives. Financial packages are customized based on the individual physicians needs. Many financial models have and can be explored. All include salaries based on current national standards, relocation, sign-on bonus and education reimbursement. About Butte, Montana: The community of 33,000 people is located virtually on the Continental Divide, on the western slope of the Rocky Mountain at an elevation of about 5700 ft., and lies on some of the worlds richest mineral reserves. Energy research, healthcare, tourism, and copper and molybdenum mining are important to the economy. Located halfway between Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park, its a convenient place to take a break before moving onto your next outdoor adventure. The city's school system consists of several elementary schools, as well as public and private high schools. Butte High School was named the 2002-2003 winner of the Academic Excellence Award from all Class AA schools in Montana. Montana Tech of the University of Montana, College of Technology and a sports center are also in Butte. Butte is rich in history, art and culture in the midst of one of the most beautiful areas of Southwest Montana. Rimmed by the ridges of several mountain ranges, Butte has nearby access to trout fishing, world-class golf courses, hiking, hunting, skiing, soaking (in commercial hot springs), snowmobiling, and many other outdoor recreational opportunities.
