PLAN North Shore - LIJ Health System
The Division of Gynecology Oncology in the Department of Obstetrics
and Gynecology at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island
Jewish Medical Center, seeks an additional board certified/board
eligible Gynecologic Oncologists for its expanding division.
A 2008 Gynecologic Oncology Fellow has been recently hired and
additional recruitment is necessary due to growth in the program.
Opportunities exist to join thriving hospital-based practices
with excellent surgical volume at these two tertiary centers.
Two fully accredited residency programs with 42 residents. Academic
rank with Albert Einstein College of Medicine and NYU School of
Medicine is available.
As one of America's largest healthcare systems, North Shore -
Long Island Jewish Health System is comprised of a network of
18 hospitals, long-term care facilities, trauma centers, and home
health and hospice agencies, located throughout Long Island, Queens,
and Staten Island. LIJ has started to build a women's hospital
and NSUH is fully renovating its OB/GYN in-patient facilities
to create a state-of-the-art hospital within a hospital.
Additionally, the North Shore LIJ Health System has The Monter
Cancer Center, a brand new modern outpatient cancer center with
world-class oncology specialists and advanced treatment options
in an atmosphere of comfort and serenity. Also housed on the
campus is the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research where research
programs are ranked in the top 6 percent of all organizations
that receive research funding from the National Institutes of
Health.
