INDIANA FSSA/DMHA Logansport State Hospital has served persons with mental illness
since 1887. In 1993, an impressive, new, 409-bed facility was
opened that is composed of five service lines-Admission Stabilization
& Intermediate Care, Forensic Services, Intermediate Care for
the Mentally Retarded, Geriatric Services, and Continuous Psychiatric
Services. This beautiful, state-of-the-art facility will far surpass
your typical stereotype of a State psychiatric hospital!!
Are you a primary care doctor stressed from the pace of your office?
Do you believe you could do a better job by working collaboratively
with an interdisciplinary team to provide high quality care to
your neediest patients? Would you like to practice in a setting
where the doctors and entire care team are happy?
Dr. Danny Meadows, Medical Director, seeks two primary care physicians
to join his collegial medical staff due to pending retirements.
You will work in conjunction with staff psychiatrists in managing
patients' health problems and performing all physical exams and
annual assessments. Patients requiring hospitalization are transferred
to the local hospital and cared for by the hospitalist program.
Experience working with chronically mentally ill individuals desired.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine/Family
Medicine preferred but not required.
You will enjoy regular work hours and no required call. Competitive

Staff lives in Logansport itself, Indianapolis, Lafayette, and
other surrounding areas.
Located just 1.5 hours from Indianapolis and 2.5 hours from Chicago,
Logansport, IN is nestled in a valley surrounded by picturesque
