Evanston Northwestern Healthcare, a major teaching affiliate of
Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a
Medical Director for Hospice and Palliative Care Services.  Qualified
candidates should be board certified by the American Board of
Internal Medicine or the American Board of Family Practice.  Successful
candidates must also be eligible for certification by the ABMS
Subspecialty Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.  Candidates
should be eligible for an appointment as an Assistant Professor
on a clinical/investigator, non-tenure track. 

The Medical Director will serve as the clinical leader of an interdisciplinary
team and will be responsible for the overall direction, implementation
and continuous improvement of clinical programs in the field of
hospice and palliative care.  Responsibilities also include leadership
of educational activities in both hospice and palliative medicine
across the training continuum.  The Medical Director is also expected
to provide palliative medicine consultations and care.  This is
an excellent opportunity to develop a regionally recognized palliative
care program.
