South County Hospital Healthcare System We are seeking a hospitalist to join us at this independent, non-profit, 100-bed acute care hospital. South County Hospital offers a broad range of medical and surgical services and advanced programs, including cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, a wellness center, a wound care center, an anticoagulation management clinic, radiation therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and four medical laboratory testing centers. The active and consulting medical staff includes 230 board certified or eligible physicians representing 40 specialties. Just 32 miles from Providence and 18 miles from Newport, Wakefield is a beautiful coastal community that offers tranquil living with close proximity to the arts, academia, fine cuisine, and the attractions of Providence. The University of Rhode Island is also just a short distance away. The natural beauty of Wakefield can be enjoyed while golfing, boating, fishing, whale watching, or swimming and wading at public and private beaches.
