QUALIFICATION:

• Shall have and maintain an unrestricted license in Virginia. Have current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration number (certification).
• Have a Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited college.
• Must be Board Certified in Dermatology and have completed an applicable internship and residency in an accredited U.S. Medical Specialty Training Program.
• Have evidence of skill and experience in Dermatology subject to verification and comprehensive documentation..
• Posses ability to thoroughly examine, diagnose and treat a variety of illnesses and diseases of a complex nature in dermatology.
• Examines, diagnoses, and prescribes treatment for a wide variety of skin diseases, injuries and illnesses for authorized personnel.  Thoroughly examines patients; studies past medical history; orders appropriate laboratory, radiologic and other diagnostic tests. 
• Studies and interprets routine and emergency test results as necessary to prescribe care and treatment based on findings.  Performs simple and complex excisions of benign and malignant skin neoplasms.
• Provides continuing treatment and follow-up care of illnesses, injuries, diseases and complications as they arise, such as eczema, psoriasis, skin neoplasms and others.
• Examines, diagnoses, treats and provides Dermatology medical and consultation services to patients with skin diseases and various skin irritations/disorders (i.e.  dermatitis, dermatophytosis, severe acne problems, etc.) sometimes complicated/caused by allergic or chemical reactions or dermatologic conditions.
• Maintains professional competence and adapts new techniques and procedures as appropriate.
