BE/BC Hematologist/Oncologist needed in New York. Hematologist/Oncologist needed in New York to join an expanding group of eight providing consultative services to inpatients and outpatients with blood disorders and cancer at the Hematology/Oncology Unit. Candidate should have interest in providing quality patient care as part of a collegial group with strong academic and teaching interests. Through a collaborative tie with a Cancer Institute, the group participates in CALGB and other cancer clinical trials, all MDs hold clinical faculty appointments there. In addition to a large volume of patients, the unit oversees care provided at the Hemophilia Center, a comprehensive treatment center for patients with hemophilia and other blood clotting disorders is the only facility of its kind in the region serving a 13 county area. Our cancer program was recently awarded an outstanding achievement award by the American College of Surgeons; only 30 of 500 institutions nationwide attained this status.
